I don't understand it. Some people are extremely repelled (sexually) by their brothers and sisters but when it comes to their cousins they are so attracted to them? WHY?

I live in the Ozarks, where technically, people marry their cousins. Whatever. I think that's enough to make you throw up. Not only is it a disgusting idea, but it's unhealthy. But I guess, if you have a cousin who's attractive, I guess you can be attracted in some sick way. I know I wouldn't be, and even if I was, my cousins would not even consider something so gross as that.

Let's be real everyone is attracted to at least one cousin. I really do not know the answer to it be we all are. We get that saying in our head.. DAMN, I wish we were not related. Family shared common things maybe that one of the reason. Sometimes people say if he/she your 3rd or 4th cousin it do not matter, it matter. How if you did not know that was your cousin and you all started dating and found out later, then maybe a problem. But who knows.

Why is anyone attracted to anyone? There is no simple answer. Attraction is a complex process. And even though moral and ethics forbid this sort of relationship, attraction is governed by neither, as love is generally wont to be. However, the Catholic Church maintains that you may marry your cousin as long as they are your fifteenth cousin or a further relation.

Brothers and sisters tend to feel more like family then cousins do... and in some cultures it is completely acceptable to have relations with your cousin. I personally don't understand it, the thought of being attracted to any of my relatives makes me feel ill... but obviously some people are fine with it.

Perhaps for the same reason some are attracted to their aunts or uncles; their sisters or brothers; their mothers or fathers, or themselves, and feel extremely repelled by everyone else!!! your question is comparable to asking, why do so people love tomatoes and have a disdain for apples?

There is no scientific genetic prohibition against marrying
ones cousins....
There are still a lot of ignorant people who are not yet
aware of this although this information has been out for
about 20 years...

They arent completely your flesh and blood, they dont get dealt with by you daily, they dont look like you alot, and they are easy to get close to.

I dont like my cousin at all, but now that I think about it, thats prolly why someone would.

Haaha I've seen that before. I dont know, maybe because there isn't an immediate blood connection between cousins like it is with siblings. In my opinion, its all incest and wrong. =/
