Hi!
I've just been told...
there is an electric valve on the hot water system it is situated up near the wipers this fails and needs to be replaced.
also ..
I would be suspicious of a blown head gasket - check your oil filler cap - if there is a "scummy" deposit this is probably the case .

Have a look on the radiator for a bleed screw!
if not keep a hose pipe in were you put the water & keep squeezing all the water pipes around the engine with engine running to get rid of air lock.

you might wanna take a look at this...

could it be a fuse on a tdlx??

Good Luck!

Hey I've just found this!!

unscrewed the radiator top hose bleed valve and topred up the coolant until the water/coolant came out i then tightened it up and then put the cap back on and i got hot air . thermostat is the cheapest start , its just a process of elimination i changed thermostat /aux belt / i was also not using any coolant so i knew it wasnt my head gasket hope this helps

i do radiators for a living it could be ur heater tap not opening or you have air in the system when you car is cold take the radiator cap off and let it run with the heater on this should remove any air from within the cooling system and make sure you top up with fluid also the temp guage must get up to at least nomal operating temp if you have changed to a cooler thermostat your cars heater will not get warm

Sounds like the heater matrix is blocked try flushing it if that doesn't work you may need to change it I've had the same problem.

you might have a more serious problem!! Check your water level!! if it has gone down, fill it, but this would most likey mean that your head gasket has gone!!
