Did you click the apply button after selecting a different one?

Best way start by doing this under properties try changing you theme selection on the first tab. then change the wallpaper/desktop image this way .
If this doesn't work delete the image it possibly has a Trojan embed in it forcing it to load and cause other problems.

Right click on the picture, and then properties. This should tell you the sourse of the picture. Go there and delete it.

right mouse click on your desktop and then click on properties. Click on desktop and change your picture. Then click apply it should then reset your picture to your desktop.

you may have your desktop as a web! right click go to properties then go to desktop! go to properties then web uncheck everything click ok then apply then ok!

do what you've already done but choose another picture or choose none the click the apply button
