you are picking up interference from your spark plug wires. you can get "non- interference wires" or maybe a filter to install on the power leads of your reciever.

Probably the wrong kind of plug wires on it. You need the resistor type. Another thing you can do it put a filter on the radio. My done this when I change out the plug wire and bought a cheap set to save money.

more than likely you need new spark plug wires and if that doesn't cure it you will have to get a noise suppressor from radio shack that mounts on the hot wire that goes to the radio.

Ignition noise. Install a noise filter. The noise filter out the noise!

my stepdads work truck does that, he said its something with the ground wire
