Not 100% sure. Even though Strutter is the 1st track on their debut release, it doesn't necessarily mean it was the 1st song they recorded.

Strutter & Deuce were earlier recordings by Wicked Lester (Gene & Paul's old band) before forming KISS. Those two songs were all ready to record for KISS' 1st ablum & I believe Ace, Paul, Gene, & Peter recorded "Deuce" 1st in the studio.

here are their first three released songs:

March 28, 1974 "Nothin' To Lose" / "Love Theme From
Kiss"

May 10, 1974 "Kissin' Time" / "Deuce"

August 10, 1974 "Strutter" / "100,000 Years

"Strutter is a song by the American hard rock band Kiss, released on their self-titled debut album in 1974. The song was released as the third single from their album and failed to chart.

Strutter, which opens the album with a Peter Criss drum fill, is an uptempo rock song that was written before Ace Frehley joined Kiss. Paul Stanley wrote the lyrics, and the music was based on a song Gene Simmons had written years before, "Stanley the Parrot.

Strutter was the first song recorded for the debut album KISS in 1974 if you don't include their demo or the live performances prior to February 1974 (album release).
