What is the fastest consumer car ever?

By comsimer i mean that a test vehicle or anything like that doesn't count.

Right now, it's the Bugatti Veyron, with a top speed of 253 MPH. It has over 1000 Hp.....

69Z28, with a 302., or a 69 Chevell with a 396, maybe a baracuda with a hemi, also that other chrysler car. Some of the 6.6 Trans Ams were pretty quick too.

this dodge is listed as a bike...but it has four wheels....so maybe its a car??

300 MPH plus... estimated over 400 MPH
