Im a legal secretary and I love it. I think it has a lot to do with I like the firm that I work for, and I really get on well with my work mates.
I like being able to work regular hours, and never having to take work home with me etc, like the solicitors would have to!

I had to read the answers! Amazing how many people work from home, isn't it? Great for parents and saves the environment, too!
I occasionally work from home (am networked) but spend the better part of 40-50 hours a week at my office, where I am a legal specialist (corporate/entertainment stuff, no personal injury law or any of that cr*p!). I love my work and have been with the same firm for nearly 10 years. I travel a lot on business, which I consider to be a perk - I'd like a bigger office, though!
Hope you don't mind if I share my favorite story on the subject of jobs with you. Back in the old days, they used to write your occupation on your British passport. I had one friend whose job was "Explorer" and another whose job was "Celebrity". I couldn't believe the passport office actually put these occupations into passports (especially because the former was not an explorer, he was a bricklayer, and the latter was not a celebrity, but a barman), but I saw them with my own eyes.

Up until Christmas, I worked for 25 years with Adults with Learning disabilities, as a Day Centre Officer, I loved it, the bonus was that I actually got paid to do it. I suppose I could have chosen more glamorous or better paid jobs, but I think I have been so fortunate in having a career that I actually enjoyed - often doing bits in my own time simply because I wanted to. I love the free time now, but from time to time I do occassionally miss the companionship I enjoyed.

I'm a technical writer. Some days I love my job and some days I hate it. Some days I love parts of it, and then I end up spending a few days creating an index, and that's tough. But I was just reading a book by Robert Asprin (one of the Myth Adventures) where he writes something like: "If you take any hobby--writing, playing basketball, singing--and turn it into a job, it becomes work!"
If anyone tells you they love their job for every single minute of every single day, they're just having a really good day at the moment.

I do like my job! I am a nurse by trade but have stayed home on/off for the greater part of 13 years raising 3 great kids.
I started using Arbonne last fall and despite saying "No" to selling this. I started to by a reaction a friend had to trying a sample. It's work but around my family and life. The best part is the products are really good so half the battle- I am not as pushy as likely some people (I find that a turn off) so anyone on my "team" does this how they want to. Arbonne pays a nice %, offers nice trips, prizes and the "white brand new mercedes benz program"!
Secondly I stumbled across a new product that launches in April. I am in the process of trying it to see if I notice the results it says it does. (Targets syndrome X)
Fatigue, memory, Fights disease and aging.. depression
I can't "sell" it though unless it works. So I am on day #2.
If I love it - it's early enough to get in to it and could explode.
All natural and you can take it with any medication -
I used to sell Victoria Secret lingerie whole sale - home parties and sold world wide to anyone who wanted one item to thousands. It was so fun but importing was a hassle.

I'm a student and I work part time in Tesco as a check-out operator. i absolutley hate it! I get zero respect from management, crap hours and have to listen to vranky customers complaining all day! Plus it's the most boring job in the world and most of my work-mates are so stupid they are near handicapped! Thank god I have that off my chest! Thank you for the question!
I'm studying law at college so hopefully will be a solicitor or legal exec some day which should be better than my present "position!!"

Good question, and I'm glad to see so many people love what they do (more than I would expect)
I'm really enjoying what I'm doing - which is setting up a sustainable rainforest conservation project - so many things to work out to make it happen, it's a great challenge and i relish it.
I also spend half my time as Mr Mom, to my one year old son - a large part of the reason I decided to do my own thing - heaps of fun, so it's the best of both worlds.

I am currently working as a full time stocker in costco and really enjoy what am doing. According to the code of employment, there is a very big chance for me to go all the way up the ladders and feel very comfortable.

I'm a nurse doing clinical research, and yes I do enjoy it. The worst part is the management, ie, my first-line manager who is the rudest person I have ever known. I came back from 3 weeks holiday in Australia and she never even said hallo, or did you have a nice holiday, no eye contact, but who cares, I had a good time, and she's just a very sad person.
