I'm American and I think alot British humor is funny. But it would make sense for Canada and Australia to have more of a British sense of humor, since they were under British control longer and subject to more British culture.

I think you're right. Canadians, because they're stuck watching America sit-coms all week, probably have developed a more America sense of humor. Australians are a lot more laid back about humor which keeps them from having a completely wry sense of things like the British. But, all in all, the Anglosphere is remarkably similar when it comes to values and humor.

No I think Australians have a more American sense of humor, we get most of our TV shows from the US and the occassional british show that pretty much no one but the british and old people watch. I have also heard from a few of my friends that have lived in the UK that it is difficult at first to get the british sense of humor. Having said all that Four Weddings and a Funeral is one of my favourite funny movies!

I don't think so. I think we are all more similar to each other than you'd think. Don't judge Americans on our government, it's so funny to see people from other countries, especially our neighbors to the North try to socially distance themselves from us. They don't want to admit that maybe they're more similar to Americans than they want to be. But at the end of the day, you guys are eating McDonalds, drinking Starbucks and watching American Idol.

Not met that many Canadians, and I have to say the ones I have met have never exhibited any appreciation of humour at all.
The convicts, yes. Very similar.

Say no more say no more. Nudge nudge. I love Britsh style humor. It is always witty and changing and intellectually silly at the same time. Now if you'll excuse me, I have go deal with an ill tempered sea bass.
