No, sorry. It is just this little device that when someone tries to pull this metal strip (The so called "Gum"), it shocks them. It is just a little prank that you can find at any magic store.

It was originally a commercial for certs. In the commercial, it has a man and a woman sitting on a couch talking about certs and then the guy says, "Did you know that if you eat certs in the dark, it makes a spark..." Then the guy shuts off the light. It's a "figurative" spark. It doesn't really create a spark but the spark they refer to is between the 2 people...If that makes any sense at all.

Not chewing gum, it's the lifesavers with the little blue and green crystals in them. There's a whole involved chemical explanation for it, but that doesn't really matter. The blue ones are better, and even then you have to be in the dark to see it.

Only if you're on certain types of medication, I'm sure any gum will work. Did you know, that when you remove the wrapper on a Curad bandage, it will spark. You have to do it in complete dark though to see it. Did you also know, if you put a bar of Ivory soap in your microwave, it will expand just like those black snakes you get on the 4th of July.
