It is absolutely true. I spent quite a few years of my misguided youth setting on the back of a horse chasing cattle up in Wyoming, and I can tell you for a *fact* that no cow would ever feel a castration being done.

Why wouldn't they feel it? This fallacy goes back to the days when people believed that animals had no feelings. Back when they even thought some races of humans had no feelings. I witnessed a bull being castrated once, and he sure made a lot of noise and complained! It's a matter of simple anatomy. There are nerves in that area of the body, so of course he's going to feel pain!

Yes, because cows aren't castrated, bulls are.

a male would feel castration. how would you feel if you had your spermatic cord and vessles crushed inside the sac or having your sac opened and testicles ripped out.

well, it depends how old it is if it's before 10 day old no it doesn't and if it's more then 10 days old they do feel it.
