i am looking for a special gift to send to her...plz give me some ideas (with source: web site) that i can order off line ........we have been friends for over 10 yrs now...i would like to get her a collectible piece and not spend over $100..it would be nice if it could have the age engraved on it somewhere or the number '60' on it. however anything you think is extra special would be appreciated. She is "young at heart" and is like a mom to me.

re: MAMABEAR..stick to 'mental health & psychology topics'...my friend is fine! she is very well adjusted to her age and quite happy!! she laughed about it when we talked! she is bragging for God sakes because she doesn't seem or look a day over 50! furthermore if you couldn't offer help with the gift with no help of a website why bother answering!

If you know what her favorite song is, then order her a music box that plays her favorite song. You can get a really nice one for under $100. This is the kind of gift that will always be special for her.

There are several companies. I suggest using your search engine.

By the way, the higher quality music boxes are from Italy.

I know two people who turned 60 within the last few months. For each of them, it was a very tough milestone to reach. They, too, are young at heart--but the difference from being in their 50s to 60s, for some reason, really depressed them.

Your friend may need your time, more than your gift. She may need to talk, and have an ear to listen, and a shoulder to cry on. On the other hand, she might be fine about it--after all, it is just a number.

Sorry, I never shop online--I only see things like that in the magazine sections of the Sunday newspaper--and quite often. Good luck in finding what you seek :)

Look around some of the speciality shops, you might be lucky.
