How do I adopt a pet on The Sims Pets 2 for Gameboy Advance?

I found the pet store but I can't see any pets how do I go about picking one out and adopting it?

Go to the shop girl, when the green arrow appears, hit A, then select "shop".

Pets are the second category I think, so you'll have to use the L and R buttons to get to the "Pets" category, then left and right on the cross to see what they have available, A to adopt one.

The selection changes every day, so if you don't like what you see, come back the next day.

Don't forget you'll also need some stuff for your pet - minimally, bowls and food, but some toys and a toilet would also be good.
