I swear when I'm in any type of mood.
I swear around anybody/everybody, including my baby son.
I swear because I don't see anything harmful in it.

"Swear words" are just sounds, just as well as the "non-swear"
alternatives to those words. What's the difference between saying "Crap!" and "S***!"? I agree with peach pie. I also use it to be funny, for emphasis, and to be REALLY funny. I also like it.

Adelyn. 17. New Jersey. I never used to swear very much at all, but lately I throw these words around like they're nothing. It's because my mom has been using swear words a lot. So in my mind I find it okay to say them, or sometihng like that.
I use them for all different reasons. Usually when I am telling a story and I want to add emphasis to something. Like--it was f_cking huge! When I'm angry I use them to--when I'm VERY angry. I swear around friends. But not all friends, because some of them don't swear at all and would find it just completely rude. I swear around my brother. Not my parents, much.

I'm usually angry at myself when I swear. Actually I swear around anyone lol except 3 year olds or something like that. I'm trying to stop swearing, but it just comes out. Uhh..the most frequent swear is "crap", but sometimes it gets deeper than that into the f one ^-^ but I mean, it's definitely not a good thing to do. Swears are bad =p

I don't really swear but every once in awhile its the only word I can find to describe what I want to say so I do. But usually I refrain from swearing and I don't really like people swearing around me.

I guess I swear most often when I am upset or angery.

But sometimes I swear just because it is the word that best fits what I want to say at that time or fits best with the person(s) I am talking to.

To be socially offensive and project a hostile attitude that disengages other people from interacting with me. O and out of habit to, after hearing it enough I am desensitized towards any negative implications and assimilate it into my vocabulary just as an other descriptive adverb.

people swear another way of expressing themselves when speaking, I think there is no need to swear there is enough words in our vocabulary without using swear words, I say it shows the mentality of people. I myself do not swear. Ann--65yrs northeast England.

I am usually on the verge of getting mad, it's sort of an escape for the steam pressure that is building inside me. When I am completely mad I don't curse I react.
I do not curse in front of elderly, small children, clergy or in heavy populated public places. (grocery store, school events, church etc.)

I swear because it's funny, I do it all the time. It's probably annoying for some people to listen to me, but if they don't like my choice of laguage, they shouldn't listen to me.
