I'm trying to buy a ring for my bf b-day. I'm on zales.com and I'm not sure if 1/10 of a carat is better than 1/5. I don't remember how to convert fractions in decimals. I know that 1/3 of a carat is better than 1/5 b/c 1/3 is .33% and 1/5 is around .20% please help I don't want to buy a sucky gift.

No, the 1/10 carat is smaller than a 1/5 carrat if all other charactoristics are the same.

If you need a zales.com coupon, there are some at http://www.24houredeals.com/Zales-coupons-629-mer.html

Good luck.

The more carats you get, the better. 1/10 means 10% of 1 carat. 1/5 means 20% of 1 carat. 1/5 is bigger, and better.

For everyday wear, anything over 1 - 2 carats isn't practical. Plus I think those massive Kim kardashian rings are tacky! I'm currently looking at engagement rings and as beautiful as a big rock would be, I'm thinking long term - I'll be wearing it for the rest of my life! I do not have dainty hands, so anything much under a carat would look really tiny. (lol edited because autocorrect changed rock to Rick)

1/5 carat is bigger than 1/10 if that's all you wanted to know.

1/5 is better.

1/5 is like 2/10

So compare that to 1/10

2/10 > 1/10

Now you see which is better. But I'm not tryna make this a math lesson. Choose one that really suits ur boy :)
Whatever you choose, I am sure heel like it because it comes from his girl, you. =)

There are 4 factors to consider. They are called the four 'C's

Carat = the size
Cut = the type of cut the diamond is in
Clarity = The clearness or whiteness of the diamond
Color = The color either white yellow, etc.

Hopes this helps.

think about it...
1/5= 20/100, so that's 20.
1/10=10/100, so that's 10.
would you rather have 20 bucks or 10 bucks??
i think i'd rather have 20. hope this helps!
