ok their is this boy i fancy he goes to my youth club, and we never tlk to each other but my mate said she spoke to him and that he said he was going to ask me out, now when i got there his mate said to me oh you know its never meant to be between you two and he said in front of the boy i fancy and then the boy started smiling and he turned a bit red, then his mate said why dont you just talk to him, his mate keeps on trying to get me to talk to him and he is bothering me about it and it is only that particular boy. also this boy i fancy is shy around i think and he knows i like him but he didnt tell me to my face his mate told me that we are never meant, to be do you think i should move on or do you think the boy i fancy, fancies me back. or what does his mate want and why does his mate keep on botherig me. by the way im to shy to speak to the boy i fancy so we just avoid each other. i dunno why his mate keeps on bringing it up randomly.

i think his mate is JEALOUS and likes YOU. that's why he says that things between you two are not meant to be. he's just trying to keep you two apart.

If this guy is shy his mate is not doing him any favours by bringing it up, sounds as if the mate is jealous that you do not fancy him. Have a word with this guy when the mate is not around, do not be tongue tied, just chat away and see what happens, if not move on to someone with a bit more backbone. Good luck

Whats the worse that can happen if you speak to the boy?. By showing his embarrassment when his friend made a comment shows he likes you but is too shy to say anything. Talk to him, see how the land lies. Give him your number,and if he's interested he will call and it won't be when his friends are around.
Friends can get jealous, they lose their company when they start dating and suddenly feel dumped on. Or he honestly feels that his friend just hasn't got the bottle to ask you out and never will and that's why he made the comment. If you never speak to him you will never know and have passed by an opportunity of a lovely romance. If you can't give him your number personally then give it your friend as she has nothing to lose, all she has to say is call her. Then wait if he does great if not his loss. Move on.

how can you fancy this boy if you can't even bring yourself to spend any time with him because you're "too shy"? what are you expecting to happen with you and him if you never make the effort to speak to each other?

Maybe his mate is likes you too...have you thought about that? Boys usually bully a girl because they can't tell them they like them. Instead he gives you attention to show you he likes you.
