From where I'm standing it doesn't look like there's any competition. (if this a simile wat 2 things ae being compared)

NO. a similey is a sentence that has 2 things being compared. in that sentence nothing is being compared.

That doesnt look like a simile to me, just a statement, There isnt anything being compared

No, that's not a simile. Nothing is being compared, it's just a simple sentence. Similies really stand out. Ex: He played guitar like Van Halen. (His guitar playing is compared to that of Van Halen's) =]

This is not a simile.

A simile requires two unlike things to be compared, normally with the use of the words "like" or "as" in the phrase.

For instance "I am as blind as a bat" or "we are like ships passing in the night".

Your sentence has none of these requirements.

No. A simile compares things using the words like or as. Example-You eat like a hog. =)
