Getting an Master's degree. I doubled my salary, and if I stay in finance I'll probably quadruple my salary over the span of a career.
People are bombarded all day long (even on sites like Yahoo!Answers) with "get rich quick" schemes, but no one seems to ever think of self-improvement as an investment. Go back to school, study hard. Don't worry about incurring debt to do this. A good degree from a good school opens up nearly unlimited possibilities.
