We both just found out that our boyfriends have been cheating on us for the LONGEST, & we dumped them! & she & I both share similar life experiences, & I wish I could meet a guy with her understanding, sweet personality. She's BI, but I'm straight. I just wonder if it would be a good idea if I were to try out a relationship with her, or do you think we should stay friends b/c dating her would ruin our friendship in the future?

If you truly value the friendship, I would say don't do it. You can always find another dude,............you cant get another best friend. Those are hard to come by.

I don't think "trying a bisexual relationship" with anyone is a good idea. You wish you could meet a guy with her understanding and personality. You seem like a young girl/woman. I understand you feel burned at the moment, but let's not do something crazy here. You should not settle for a bisexual relationship because you haven't found the right guy yet. Get back into the dating world, meet lots of people, have fun, and you'll meet the man of your dreams in time.

being bi-sexual is more then having sex with the person of the same sex. If you are not naturally attracted to women, then it would not work out for you. And it may not work out with her either... Has she said anything about being in a relationship with you?

A real bi-sexual just does not have a man and do women on the side or vise versa. They are able to be in a commited relationship with that person and not want to stray to the other side for 'kicks'

You say you share similar life experiances... that is what makes her your best friend. Dont risk it. Espcially if she knows you are not bi yourself. Plus you both just got out of a relationship, you both need time to yourselves to reflect and get your thoughts together.

no one wants to be a rebound.

If you haven't tried to be something you ain't then you should try it. Trust me it be an experence to you. If you like it then stay bi or whatever. Have fun doing it. If you don't like it go back to straight.

I don't think you should date her simply because it might ruin your relationship, also if your not BI yourself I don't know why you would want to be in a relationship that goes against your own sexual orientation.

no...unless your best friend and you agree tht whatever happens things will stay the same between both of you...i dont advise it though...because no matter how much you assure it most likely it WILL change things between the both of you and a best friend is not someone to lose..

It would most likely ruin your friendship...

You especially don't want her just to be a rebound...

Tread carefully, whatever you decide to do...

You both need comfort. You like each other. Whatever rolls your oats.
