There was a time when I thought it was boring to be alive. When I didn't even appreciate just the smallest things in life. Like typing this note, walking in the front room, doing the dishes, saying hi to my children. Just when I thought all was good in life, my brothers and sisters and I were alive and young... I would always say to myself I'm glad were are such a happy family and we got a lot of years of good visiting ahead of us. Tragedy Struck. My 46 year old brother died of a Heart attack. Suddenl'y I didn't feel so young any more. I never thought that life could suddenly be swiftly taken away. The people in my family have always lived to be a ripe old age, then suddenly my brother was taken from us. For some reason now, I've become so thankful to be alive. So thankful to exist and breathe and even the smallest things I do seem so meaningful, even the writing of this message. I'm grateful to walk, to breathe, to stretch and even to do nothing at all, as long as I'm doing it alive. Life is precious, I would miss it all if I lost any of it. If I even dare to be bored, it seeps into my brain how grateful I am to be alive and to be bored amoung all the other great feelings I get to feel, because... I'm Alive!!!

I don't miss my youthful enthusiasm. It always got me into trouble. Nope, definitely don't miss those almost-in-laws with white shotguns...
