is it true that back in the early 1930's they made marijuana illegal because alot of Mexicans and African Americans were smoking it?? Thats what my teacher said.

False. This all happened because of the colonies back in the days. There was alot of competition for the better good( marijuana or tabbaco). But at the end a pettition was asked to congress to ban mj and it worked and now tobbaco is the leader and thats why mj is now illegal.

I dunno, my brother said they made marijuana illegal cause USA didnt produce it so it didnt benifit us economically to allow it, while tobaco does. Its not out of health or good things, just out of greed. Also I heard that they used hemps spanish name, marijuana to use peoples racism against Hispanics to discourage marijuana. *sigh*
