Yes they should. What's important is they make the commitment to one another. Other people and the law should recognise that.

Absolutely, Regardless of any ones personal views of this issue the fact is if two people are in a long term relationship they deserve all the rights that the law permits for heterosexual couples. Why this is such a hot topic is really beyond me. With all that is going on in the world around us the fact that we would waste our time debating on weather two people in a committed relationship who are the same sex should have equal rights is obscene. "let us not judge" lets worry about the war and homelessness and starving children as my dad used to say( god rest his soul) Stay in your own boat, when you abandon your boat to try and steer someone Else's your boat will sink!

Absolutely.
To try and force some other word with the same meaning as marriage is to create segregation which is against the US Constitution.
We should have the exact same right, the right to marry the person we love.

Yes we should. We have as much right. I mean come on we are people are selves. We're not aliens or ghost or whatever. So what that God said that it should be man and wife. Technically to us gays its man and wife but instead its wife and wife, man and man. So if the straights have the right to marry or date or whatever. We should. We should be able to do what ever the straights do. If the don't like it tough. Its not their lives its ours. Letting them have their opinions towards us. We don't care. As long as we are in love or just happy with our sexuality

Yes, within the social, legal and moral parameters of society.
Marriage is a moral issue, biblical / historically / socially and customarily it is between one man and one woman.
Too often today a minority of people wish to give classifications to minority groups of people, rights that exceed those of the majority.
To permit same sex marriage, should we too permit polygamous marriage or marriage between humans and animals? I could go on and on with this! Where would the line be if traditional values are not upheld.
Then what about my civil rights, to object to what I believe is immoral and socially unhealthy activity? Why should I, if being an employer/landlord/citizen be forced to accept behavior that I find morally, civilly or historically reprehensible?
That is NOT how a Democratic Republic works.
To give same sex marriage rights would be a government imposition upon Church's that object to "same sex marriage" and it would open Church's to law suits for discrimination. Thus a violation of the "Separation of Church and State clause of the constitution AKA: The First Amendment.
