Yea, every child born out-of-wedlock is a victim. They have no say in their conception and must live with their illegitimate legacy for not only their lifetime, but for the lifetime of their children and grandchildren. After that, not many family members research the genealogy of their great-great-grandparents. That's long term victimization!

As a kid, I tended to get beat up by older kids (I was big and slow for my age).

*I now have a second degree black belt in Karate and Kendo, and I competed in intercollegiate Judo back when I was in college.

**I've learned how to avoid becoming a victim to the best of my ability through:

***Awareness

***Preparedness

***Avoidance.

However "stuff" happens, and that's where a really sharp wit comes in handy (out think the dirt bags!).

I'm still the victim of a VERY hostile work environment (the other teachers in my dept.), but that's what lawyers are for, I guess.

How are things going for you? Are you okay?

Yes, My house has been broken into twice in about 3 years. The first time, they got away, the second time we nailed them.

I was trying to apprehend 2 burglars and they jumped into a car. I pulled my gun out and gave them room to get by but was yellilng for them to stop.
They swerved over and hit me and knocked me down. I learned a valuable lesson that day. The stuff that works for TV doesn't translate well into real life.
Lesson learned for me, and I absolutely can't stand people who victimize others. I spent over 20 years trying to stop that from happening to others...
