that is the 6 million dollar question where do they go .I got fed up looking for matching socks that I got a netted bag and I put all the socks to be washed into it and wash them all together in the machine , hang the whole lot up on the line to dry no lost socks now .

I don't have a sock drawer. all my socks are in a basket. iIhave a lot of mismatched ones though but I can usually match them up with another sock that looks kinda similar but not the same or I just wear the mismatched ones. No one's going to see anyways.

None in my sock drawer, I buy all black and all the same style so if I do lose one I can always pair it up with any of the others. Problem solved!

This is one of lifes` mysteries, does the washing machine mechanic collect them from the out-let pipe on the machine, do they go to the single-sock haven in the sky,do the sock fairies steal them? Who knows, I have a carrier bag full of them, which I either wear ith my wellington boots or use as dusters. Not a very romantic or exciting end for them !

i have several odd socks...i think that they get sucked up in the dryer. that is why people talk about the sock eater in the dryer all the time. who knows, really? just throw them out and start over :) that's what i do :)

I have an odd sock bag...i believe that there is a sock fairy, and she takes away one sock at a time.....just because she can lol.....

Lost coumt my son is only allowed to wear barely black do you know how many different shades there is does my head in trying to match them. the cat and dog shelter uses odd socks that is where i take mine.

i make them into sock puppets but i dont tell the owners of the odd socks that are left. tee hee
