Sounds like you are on the right track. Always keep in mind that life is about perception, bottom line, feelings and experiences are all about the way you perceive them.
My only suggestion to you, to anyone, is to love people for who they are independent of how they make you feel or the relationship that you have with them...Loving someone for simply who they are as an individual will make the experience of loving and knowing many, a more enlightening and joyous experience. You lose nothing when you look at every encounter as an opportunity to love.
