The parent cell divides to produce two daughter cells. Your question is rather vague, so this is probably the best answer. If you were looking for type, there are many types of cells that undergo divisions.

Regular cells divide through a process called mitosis. The parent cell has 46 chromosomes, and when it divides the duaghter cells will have 46 as well.

Sex cells (gametes) divide through meiosis. Results of this duplication have 23 chromosomes.
