what do you guys think about those geico commercials you know the ones with the cave men in them. I think that they are really pointless. I usualy just end up changing the channel or muting them.

If the insurance is that cheap how can they afford famous people and Gieco screwed us over. I only liked the little richard one. @#%* Geico!! and the Gecko died last week

A lot of commercials today are like that, some idiotic off the point skit that makes little or no connection with the actual product or service being sold, and I find these an absolute waste of time and money because they insult the consumer's intelligence.
It's to the point, I think a savvy marketer could grab a large section of the market by using some common sense in their advertising: Stick to the facts, give out the info and let the consumer decide... And skip the bs.

I love them. I think that particular commercial series is one of the best on TV right now. I like the gecko a lot too, he is so cute. And no, nobody I know works for Geico.

Too many commercials are really just annoying. The latest one that shocked me is the one where a women says, "Women need a lot of meat." It's a fast food thing; but really!
I usually mute the TV, especially after Head On.

I just saved a ton of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.
I love all their commercials, the celebrity helpers, the cavemen, the gekko, and the older "I've got some good news!"

As much as I dislike the Aussie Lizard, I think the Cavemen get on my nerves even more. It was sort of amusing at first, but after 180,000 times, it gets to be downright irritating. You find yourself wishing one of those Global Warning glaciers would slice off and kill off the caveman once again.
Besides, if the Caveman is such an intellect (as he professes to be), then why is he doing a commercial for Geico????

I find most commercials pointless...hence TiVo is amazing, I don't have to watch commercials usually...
however...I personally think that the Geigo Gecko was better...and that the cave men are funny, but not as cute...

I like them, but I've heard critics in Ad Week and other trades say exactly what you and others here are saying - what's a caveman have to do with insurance? But I think they're entertaining just as vignettes.

I did like the cavemen but I agree with the others that they're getting old pretty fast. My new favorite is the 2 DSL Turtles you know "You push it, push it good" I laugh everytime.

It must be something with Geico, I can't stand the ones with the gecko either, it is creepy and I can't stand the voice, maybe they should get a new add agency!
