I am 23 weeks pregnant with my first child. I have been to my doctor about this problem and have been to L&D 2 weeks ago for every contractions. My doctor put me off saying it was just round ligament pain or something, she coudlnt explain. That night I passed a large kidney stone. I had relief for approx. 5 days and then began having horrible contractions and low back pain to the point where I wanted to throw up , have a bm, or pee or die to get the pain to stop. I am worried that this time it may have caused me to start to dilate because i feel "him" kick me much much lower down. My doctor just puts me off, she is way to busy, and I need answers. I am worried about preterm labor onset due to the stones irriating my uterus area etc. Any help or someone that has experienced the same thing??

Poor thing!

I have not had the kidney stones but i can tell you about the kicking much lower is normal. I am now 24 weeks and my bupper migrates from lower to upper whenever she wants. Just last night i could feel her tapping like she was RIGHT on the other side of my clitoris. then later that night she was right above my belly button. So dont worry about that.

You are most likely having braxton hicks contractions which are being complicated by your stones (im sorry for your pain. i really am) if you are having more then 6 pains with in a hour (i even say 4) go to the emergency room and just tell them you are having 6. that is a sign of preterm labor. At least there they will check you to see if you have dialated. if you dont see blood or a mucus plug, then you probably have nothing to really worry about in that area.

For pain management... i know there is not much we can take, but for my sever morning sickness i was givin meds to help me keep food down. but the biggest side effect is they put you to sleep. it is called phenergan. I have had it before i was pregnant for a few dizzy spells. it works so well you dont even know you are sick! lol

Lastly, find another OB... i just want to smack yours from what you have already said. If she is 'too busy" or does not seem to care and pushes you off, you do not have a good relationship with her nor do you agree with her actions... I dont care what it is, im pregnant... when i tell you i hurt. you better bend over backwards to kiss my azz and make me feel better. THAT IS WHY YOU BECAME A DOCTOR ISNT IT? You know your body better then anyone else. You dont have to put up with her or pay her bills.. just go trump and say 'YOUR FIRED' and find another one.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
