First thing I look at is cover charge. How much it is and how the lines are. Next, I'd say the drink choices and prices. Two for ones make me a happy camper.
Music is also a big thing. It has to be good and since everyone has different tastes I would stick to something simple.
Last but not least is the scene. By that I mean the people who attend the club and those that work there.
Free valet parking rocks too!

A nice quiet, freindly atmosphere where you can enjoy a pint, have a chat with your mates and watch the sports without the wife nagging you to do something with your life....

fit single blokes who actually dance.
no chav's fighting.
good mix of dance music old skool, chart dance ect... and dj's that actually play songs you ask for.
cheap drinks help coz sometimes i feel like i am being priced out of my local town as there are so many posh cocktail bars opening. sometimes i just want to be in a proper pub.

free wings or nachos but especially wings! make some kinda beer combo with the wings like buy a pitcher get some wings free. thats kind of a college area thing to do though but it definitely works where im from
