It's also the melody in Baa Baa Blacksheep and was written by Mozart. It's been a very popular tune for 250 years. In the Arctic they sing :

I really have no clue. Perhaps the lack of imagination in Nursery rhyme poets :P Or whatever they're called! I think that htey thought the children wouldn't notice!!

It's because little kids respond really well to soft tones like that. That's my guess anyway :)

maybe its the same composer or maybe the 2 composers were buddys...thats a good question but I cant really exsplain it-- sorry!
