Do you need scare tactic advertisements to tell you that meth is bad? That should be obvious just by what we see and hear. The problem with advertisements against drugs is that they tend to exaggerate or misstate the "high" and the accompanying behavior under the influence, which the user is familiar with, so the user tends to assume that the implied harm is also exaggerated and ignores the entire commercial, not realizing that no matter how badly stated the affects of the drug might be, the fact remains that it is and can be debilitating and/or deadly. What we need is anti-drug commercials based on the honest, true effects the drug has. When we do, the users will be much more inclined to listen to the harm alleged.

I used to do meth every way possible. I can tell you this...these ads aren't scary enough. Anyone whose used meth a lot can tell you that as effective as these ads are, they will never be able to convey just how terrible the drug is, and how much it can ruin your life.
