Unfortunately you are mostly right about people being out for themselves. Its very hard to find a true friend these days and we all need one good friend. But when I get depressed and there are days that I do,I read a good book--watch a feel good movie like Sister Act 1 & 2...make myself fresh baked cookies and coffee and turn on some upbeat music...I know that I am depressed so I can get myself out of it..I always remember tomorrow is another day..

i felt like this once .. i cant tell you how to fix your problem but i can tell you what worked for me. i sat down and wrote down all emotions on a piece of paper i vented a lot of anger i made a list of reasons why i felt like this. i put it in an envelope & read it the next day. by then i laughed at what was bothering me & worked on making changes so that those circumstances wouldnt affect me anymore... then again there's always counseling or proffesionall therapy where they'll just charge you a small fortune to hop you up on drugs
good luck & cheerup

hey girl
first step is to go see a doc and have yourself checked to see if you are "clinically depressed". if you are then he / she will put you on medication to deal with the symptoms. going to a shrink is optional, really. medication does help. it sounds like if you don't trust anyone anymore you've been hurt badly enough by people to give up on all of them. don't!! go see your doc asap. trust me, meds work. good luck!

Build up your own self esteem and life and stop depending on other people for happiness. The moment you don't depend on others to be happy and you can enjoy you own company, your feelings will begin to spill onto them. Karma does exist.
