My Quest A420's hinge on the left hand side has developed a crack just above it. I bought this from Evesham micros in June 2006. Will my warrentee cover this?
I looked it up on the interent and found that other laptops have this same problem. Oh and just to add insult to injury the 'W' key has become very temperamental. I.e. you have to press it about three times before it finally types
Thankyou - Any advice welcome

That to me sounds like an issue with the design of the laptop. It is fairly common for cracks like that to appear. Most often it is purely cosmetic, but the warranty should still cover it.

Ideally, you should have the warranty information handy in case things like this happen.

My suggestion would be to go to the companies website and go to their "Contact us" page and find out who you speak to regarding warranty claims.
