I intentionally avoided the color green. I find it amusing that people wear green on St. Patrick's day (show a little respect by capitalizing ...the man was a sainted). People do not wear pastel colors on Easter or dress up as turkeys, native Americans, or pilgrimson Thanksgiving. Why do so on St. Patrick's day?

to andrew g - I wear pastels on Easter and on Thanksgiving, I might wear a little pilgrim hat pin. Many, many people dress festivly for every holiday or special day.
And yes, I wore a green t-shirt that said "Ireland," and a sweatshirt with green lettering and "Ireland" embroidered on it.
I'm very proud of my Irish-American ancestry.
