SOAP - crazy plots & characters, you never knew what on earth was going to happen next & you couldn't tell a joke was coming minutes in advance like you can nowadays.
GOLDEN GIRLS - Great characters, all of them funny in a different way & you could never tell how a story would end.

I love Frasier too. I think my all time favorite may be Golden Girls. I used to go over to my mother's and have dinner and we would watch the show when they were still having new episodes.
The show is great, but my mother is gone now and I think that may be why I feel so fondly about Golden Girls.
Golden Girls has been on so often in reruns that I think many people forget how good it was when there were actually new shows.

Friends, Seinfeld Fraiser mostly as they are so well written and played perfectly. You just love the characters and know how they will react to each other. Just watched a rerun of Fraiser, he had been coaching the young and new owner of the radio station in style and culture. The guy ended up copying his suit, car and even an exact copy of his apartment even down to an old out of place armchair. Fraiser was so upset he ended up changing his decor, he tried several themes but was never happy. In the last scene the only furniture in the place is Martins chair. Fraisers boss calls round to tell him that a style magazines is so impressed with his apartment (the bosses) that they are going to do a feature on it. When he has gone Fraiser in true form is in shock, he is staggering around looking as though he is goin go be ill, he tells his dad "i need to sit down" concerned Martin stands up and offers his chair, Fraiser looks at it and runs to the bathroom and sits on the toilet, only Fraiser (or Niles) classic.

"Frasier" - Cheers was great, but Frasier was just sublime. So witty. There was`nt one character I did`nt like...well apart from Daphne`s family. But Frasier and Niles were the perfect double act. Even the theme song was great !!!
Other great ones though. - Friends , Golden Girls , Roseanne , House (I know its a drama, but it can be so funny at times ) , Whose Line Is It Anyway ? (not a sit com, but funny as anything) , And of course The Simpsons !!!

Yes. Frasier. Brilliant! But some of the American sit-coms are a bit silly, now, don't you think? But their thrillers etc are getting better. CSI series are brilliant. Especially the Miami!

full house
so easy to swallow, quite a few plot lines per episode, some funny jokes, really cheesy moments, brings me back to my youth, great memorable characters (who could ever forget danny tanner...kimmy gibbler...jesse katsopolis...let alone that adorable michelle). great set, that house was outrageous with that blue plaid couch and that gigantic staircase. also, even if you watch the 80s episodes, the filming was so clear, like they used the best possible cameras and editing that were available during that era. everything was so bright.
there. a few reasons.

Frasier for me too. I love it because the writing is so good, as I get older I appreciate clever writing and unfortunately it seems to be something that is dying out.

in this generation,I agree,Frazier...in past,I know these are corny, but they are classics...I love lucy...and Mary Tyler Moore show...Mary Tyler Moore was well written for that era it was also a bit ahead of time...Lucy,just plain ole funny...sad to say I can list a bunch from the past ,only 1 or 2 from today...tv sucks now...little creativity /originallity,I few good writters, all about the $$ instead of the art...
