I can't sleep in my bed because I can't prop it up in my bed and it's really uncomfrotalble.

Call your doctor and get something for the pain. Why can't you sleep in your bed? Do you have stairs to climb? what about sleeping on the couch? You could prop your leg up with pillows. My husband broke his leg and had a cast up to his hip. He couldn't climb the stairs so slept on the couch with his leg propped. Try that to see if it helps you.

Ice, Elevate and Ibuprofen if you aren't allergic are the three things that will help the most with fracture pain. You should be able to sleep in your bed with the leg propped with pillows, or on the couch or a recliner chair. Even sleeping on the floor and propping with pillows should be more comfy than in a wheelchair. It will start to feel better in the first 7 to 14 days the cast is on. Just make sure you watch for swelling and call your doctor's office if you have any problems.

A fracture that has been set and casted usually doesn't hurt much unless there is something else wrong. Are your toes swollen, cold or blue? If so, call your doctor immediately.

It's important that you keep your leg above your heart while you sleep in order to improve circulation and thereby hasten healing. Sleep in your bed or on the sofa if you have a two-story house, and prop your leg up on several pillows. (You can get a pressure ulcer on you backside from sitting in a wheelchair continuously.) If this doesn't make it feel better, call your doctor. Get well soon, and don't overdo it until your doctor tells you it's okay.

There is nothing you can do to make it heal faster. It just takes time. I've had a shattered ankle before--I understand the pain. It's horrible and you think it will never feel better. It will. If you are in so much pain that you can't sleep, call your doctor so they can prescribe you something different.

Maybe you should go back to where they put the cast on and have it checked out again.

I think you could take vitamins(or something), that should help. I think i did that when I broke my wrist and when I broke my finger.
