an equation of a line is y=mx+b and the m is its slope and b is the y-intercept
the slope is simply 8 and the y-intercept is 0 (if there is no b in the equation then the y-intercept is 0)
y=8x
y=8(0)
y=0
Therefore the y intercept is (0)

slope intercept form is y=mx+b m is the slope and be in the y intercept.... so you could rewrite y=8x as y=8x+0 so long story short your slope is 8 and your y intercept is 0
