because it would be total chaos inside with people missing assignments on defense...most people dont watch closely when either of them is playing, they are lost on help defense and switch, and out of position on transition...that is why you will often see one of them on the perimeter lost trying to guard a 1 while there is a mismatch inside...these two will need more time to learn and get comfortable with their assignments...then perhaps coach will try it down the road...Bynum is coming along fine for a second year player getting his first significant minutes, has lost weight and is working hard to learn...you cant teach 'big' so keeping him is part of the future plan...not so sold on keeping kwame as he has been in the league a number of years now and hasnt made significant progress the last two years...if he had better hands the lakers would have put away the suns in the playoffs last year, as kobe gave him many good feeds inside in games 5 and 6 with the lakers ahead and couldnt get kwame to hold on to and score when he was in position to...

The reason why they don't put both in is because of inexperience and substitution problems. Besides Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum the Lakers have no big men, Chris Mihm is out for the year and Brian Cook is the closest to another center and he is hurt as well. When one of them gets tired they put the other one in so they stay fresh. Also both are straight out of high school so they are still very inexperienced. It wouldn't really be total inside domination.

Mac, what are you talking about, I am a Laker fan and I wouldn't want the Lakers to trade Bynum for Kidd. Bynum is going to be a force in the NBA in a couple of years.

That is a very smart Idea because, Brown is a pretty good Power Forward.
But if you do that, then Bynum will get it east. Do you want to win now and Have Bynum Soft, or do u want to make Bynum a dominant player in the future who has played very good forwards like Timmy D, KG, Shaq, Bosh. Although it could make Bynum weak, It might also make Brown better, because you might try to play bynum like Shaq, and get him better in passing, and that might take some load of Brown who was brought because they did not have any big man, after Shaq left. If it was me, I would go with it
There would be some pressure taken off of Kobe, as LA might have one of the best big man situations in the NBA(2 young Big men), To make this team a contender, I would say try to sign a PG like Billups this summer, or draft a PG with a good or better passing ability.
Sorry I went way Out of Topic

I am a Laker fan and I have to say Brown is too slow for PF and Bynum shouldn't be here. He looks like a regular 19 year old kid.

Nope. Who is going to come off the bench to replace them? They dont have many centers in their team and Brown isn't a really natural center already. Once they are both in foul trouble, there will be no one to D in the middle.

because who would come off the bench for relief, at the center position? they need to back each other up cause there's no third center with Mihm chronically injured.
