So we're all set to become a rising power - India's economy is supposed to overtake Japan by 2025 but this is the situation of wealth distribution in the country today: Have a peek
Top 1%: 16% of wealth
Top 5%: 38% of wealth
Top 10%: 53% of wealth
Bottom 80%: 30% of wealth
Bottom 50%: 8% of wealth
Bottom 20%: 1% of wealth
Bottom 10% 0.2% of wealth
(Source: University of Western Ontario, 2006)
35% of Indians live on less than $1 per day comparable to southern Africa - and at the same time, India has the world's largest number of billionaires next only to the USA.
No wonder where I look around, there is poverty and filth and the overseas image of this country is "rotten" - I investigate and find out the main reason why this country will remain "forever poor":
we are "insensitive" to poverty - countries like the UK and US have social insurance wherein people spend nearly 20% of their income for housing, medical and education and in this country, we all EVADE taxes

I live in Gujarat which is a business state and I know most of my friends who are industrialists and almost NOBODY pays taxes here - if all businessmen in India are taxed in accordance with US mechanism, we ought to have $50 billion additional revenue for development http://www.atimes.com/atimes/South_Asia/HB11Df05.html
This amount of "Black money" as the term we have in India - is just an underestimate. The other day I saw a newspaper report in which one Polo Jockey based in Mumbai was arrested (of course he has already been bailed out due to his political influence) had Swiss Bank income of $10 billion and funny thing nobody had even heard his name before!
The so-called "parallel economy" of India is the main reason this country is forever "poor" - I mean not "me" and "you" but everyone else for sure.
But, in this country we live by a brutal "rat race" - once you rise in social standing and economic status, we have learned NEVER to look down

Yes, it is partly true. The disparity between the rich and the poor is less in countries with a population of homogeneous genetic make up such as Japan and its neighbouring places and many European countries. Many African countries except South Africa are also homogeneous but are miserably poor. Wide genetic disparity is found in USA, South American countries and in India. In all these places economic disparity is inevitable. The best method to level this genetic disparity and through this the economic disparity is eugenic policies. The details of such a programme is given below:-
WHAT IS EUGENICS?
It is human genetics applied to alleviate human sufferings and to improve the human gene pool. With this we copy nature’s own reproductive plan (differential fertility). Major social problems like crime, poverty and illness are partly genetic and the remedy should also be genetic. So think genetically and act genetically. Good genetic endowment is the best asset to attain prosperity and except human beings all other living creatures survive and progress in this way.
WHAT CAN WE ACHIEVE?
1. Neogenics bridges the genetic gap in certain superior traits existing between the elite and the average. It compensates the selective migration of superior genetic stock from the poor to the professional, from the rural to the urban areas and from the underdeveloped to the developed nations.
2. Biological socialism leads to economic socialism. All attempts made so far to achieve economic socialism by imposing Marxism/communism have not achieved the desired goal. Capitalist countries witnessed considerable economic progress but failed miserably in equitable distribution of wealth. Biological socialism is the only hope to bridge the gap in wealth between the rich and the poor in a democratic way.
3. Neogenics helps increase the number of good minds and to reduce crime, corruption, cruelty etc. Attempts to transform society through moral preaching have not yielded any lasting results. Genetic transformation of the society will assure lasting peace and harmony. Repeated studies of twins have proved again and again the genetic basis of intelligence and behavior.
4. Racial mingling through neogenics will put an end to violence created on racial grounds.
5. By reducing the incidence of genetically transferable diseases (most diseases have a genetic base), great improvement in health can be achieved and thereby considerable reduction in medical expenditure.
6. Increasing the intelligence and EQ of the common man according to the needs of a civilized and technologically advanced society. The benefits of ascending EQ & IQ in a population are rather beyond our imagination.
8. Neogenics is the only method now available to correct genetic disorders in order to protect the right of the unborn. A child has a legal right to begin life with a sound mind and a sound body.
All these will reduce human suffering and place the human race on an evolutionary track as nature has been doing for the last several millions of years. It may be noted that we are the only species capable of directing our evolution in a manner that suits our wisdom leading to the betterment of our less fortunate fellow citizens and the species as a whole.
HOW TO ACHIEVE BY SIMPLE MEANS ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS GIVING FULL RESPECT TO FREE WILL?
1. Encourage the production of more children among the healthy and the gifted couples.
2. Discourage the reproduction of the habitual criminals, mentally challenged and the sick.
3. Start sperm/egg banks of selected donors of better EQ and IQ for the benefit of the infertile couples (10 to 12 per cent of the population) and for those daring couples who want to bring about improvement of the genetic stock of their future generations.
4. Popularize genetic screening and genetic counseling to prevent genetically transmitted diseases
All the above steps may be needed till the advancement of genetic engineering reaches a level that enables genetic transformation of a society or individual through gene therapy, cloning or other means yet to be discovered or envisaged.
COUNTRIES PRESENTLY WITH EUGENIC AGENDA: Singapore, China & Israel.

Yes, it could be said that the Indian system is highly flawed to a large extent yet we really cannot tell if it is the "most" ugly and insensitive capitalist society. Data on the world corruption scale doesn't say so, where it stays around a little over 3.0 while the most corrupt ones are at somewhat less than 2 on the scale. See the included link.

I agree with you. Personally I believe that this should be the basis to direct the energies and efforts of the Government in modern India. The economic upliftment is the empowering of the people and it is the proven way to equality. Though there are indirect recognition for this fact, the caste politics is too strong as of present. The caste divisions erode with prosperity and remnants should be taken care of by the strong empowered NGOs and religious / spiritual forums. Just like other areas where Government is slowly encroaching to bring them under organised sectors, the priests for the temples & Brahminism should be curriculum for career. Then the temples can come under organised and recognised sectors. A viable, feasible solution for India is a slow process. It needs strong governments to hasten the process.

Disparity between the rich and the poor will widen if we fail to address the issue from a genetical angle. Levelling up the economic disparity can be achieved only by levelling up the genetic potential. For this we have to switch over to eugenic policies. China already started in this direction by opening government sponsored sperm banks of notables in 1999.

Distribution of wealth will not solve permanently the disparity in income between the rich and the poor. India or any other capitalist nations will have think of eugenic policies for equating the genetic potential of its population so as to bring down the gap between the rich and the poor in wealth.

There will always be emerging pangs. We compare ourselves with USA which is more than 240 years old democracy and open markets have deep roots there. India is just about 60 years old democracy and markets began to open up only in ninties. So give it a chance to level up that gap. It will one day bridge that gap and in my opinion the gap should reduce and not increase.

Just wait few more years.Income gap will grow at the same pace as the economy is.Unfortunately disparity between rich and poor is by product of capitalism.USA is the best example of it.We can just feel sorry only, but can not do anything about it.
