Bonus means 1 and 1 which means he has to make the first shot to shoot the next one. Double bonus means he gets 2 shots even if he misses the first one

"Bonus," which is triggered when the other team commits seven team fouls, means that you get to shoot a "1-and-1" from the free throw line. You must make the first attempt to get a second attempt.

"2x bonus" is triggered when the other team commits ten team fouls. Often called the "double bonus," the team gets two attempts from the free throw line every time the other team commits a foul.

Team fouls are reset at halftime, so the bonus does not carry over from the first half to the second half.

after 7 teams fouls is reached the other team gets into the "bonus" which is a 1 and 1 free throw situation, meaning if you make the first one, you get one more, but if you miss the first one, you dont' get any more.

Once 10 teams fouls are reached, the other team gets 2 free throws, it doesn't matter if any are made or not.

when a team is in the bonus when they are fouled they shoot free throws no matter if its a shooting or on the floor foul. if they make the first one they shoot another but if they miss they dont get to shoot the other. in the double bonus they can miss the first free throw but they still shoot the second.
