most sites say they are nearly worthless.
Why then has a charity shop got Abbey Road in the window for £75.00?

Many people still collect and listen to l.p.s.Condition ,rarity, and actual listenability are some of the factors that determine worth.

As with most things, you neither "all" nor "none" fits. The vast majority of lps are (nearly) worthless. Generally the only ones that are worth anything significant are albums that have never been re-released on CD, and the albums of a very small number of very famous/popular performers. Abbey Road fits the 2nd category. There are some audiophiles value analog recordings on lps over the digital recordings on cds, but with the exception of those famous/popular performers, the supply of albums generally vastly outstrips the demand for them, thus holding their value down.

given the fact that it was The Beatles 11th album, it is probably in good condition and it's a charity shop; i would say that the shop is trying to raise money so they are asking a high price, but not a price so high that someone who collects LPs or strictly Beatles LPs wouldn't mind paying, especially for a charity.

They are collectible. They are not worthless to a collector.
