I think it's funny that these two are even being compared. However, since they are, my vote definitely goes to Mr. Depp.
First of all, just look at the roles each has played. Can you name me one role that DiCaprio played that sticks out? I'm not asking if you can remember any, but I mean that truly stick out among all of cinema. I can't think of any. Depp, on the other hand, has many. He's created some memorable, albeit quirky, characters.
If you're going for the appearance angle, sure DiCaprio was a heartthrob when he was younger, but I don't hear many women who say the same now. Depp has legions of admirers, who range from teenagers to older women. My ex-girlfriend wouldn't shut up about him, and she's over 20 years younger!
So, all in all, Depp is by far the best.

Depp why he is a versatile actor, i mean look at his resume, Crybaby, Edward Scissor Hand, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the big hit Pirates of the Caribbean.
I was nothing more than an almost innocent bystander.
and of course

Johnny Depp I guarantee it, he's been in the movie business longer and has made more money and is known by a wide range of ages.

I think Johny depp is the better actor, he changes so much in every movie he's in like its a whole new person. Leonardo is ok though like on the aviator that was pretty good.

Leonardo. Not only did he spend many years as a teenage heart-throb after Titanic, he also has a social conscience. While Johnny Depp no doubt does good things for his community, his people, and his fans, I hear more about the things Leonardo does.

Are you kidding. Depp by far. Dicaprio suffers from the prevelant "Deniro emulation syndrome", where male actors try too hard to be too serious about and in their roles.
