I teach AP chemistry. Here are my suggestions:
1) Study each night - even if you have no homework. You cannot let yourself fall behind in class.
2) Do not miss class unless you are really sick. This is a fast-paced class and you will miss a lot of information.
3) Read ahead each night if possible. If you know ahead of time what the lesson is over you will not spend time trying to spell words or figure out what the teacher is explaining.
4) Be prepared to work at a fast pace and devote a lot of time outside of class to study groups and lab assignments.
5) The more time and work you put into the class the better your score will be on the AP exam.

I maybe wil ltake it next year so you need to really understand chemistry
the normal chemistry class is considered "basic" and "easy" because AP Chem really takes you into the chemistry world.

I loved that class!! Just be sure you took honors (or at least CP) chem first....it's not so hard....you can always look at some books or just review your notebook from last year...no suggestions really...you will be taught stuff so don't learn too much in advanced or you will be bored

get ready to study hard!

but honestly, it is worth it if you are planning to attend university or college. Your first year chemistry will be pretty simple.
