I try not to be revengeful... but then again, I do expect justice and compensation for wrongs. You don't have to tolerate bad behavior, but you don't have to have your insides eaten out by bitterness either.
Revenge and punishment are different things. Punishment is inflicted for the sake of the person punished; revenge for that of the punisher, to satisfy his feeling."--quote from Aristotle (384-322 BC)
Francis Bacon (1561-1626) said, "A man that studieth revenge keeps his own wounds green, which otherwise would heal."
So, as you can see, people from all ages, know that revenge is not the answer...

I would like to think that most of the time I am a very tolerant person, but I know that there are times when I can be very vengeful. Most of my vengeful moments are when I feel someone with power has personally attacked and harmed me or my family, like when a former boss seemed to go out of his way to make my job unbearable to the point that I had to transfer to another department. I swear that if ever I am in a position of power over that person, I will return the favor. The other times I feel vengeful is when I'm driving and either someone cuts me off or goes out of their way to inhibit my ability to merge into traffic.

I dont think its about getting even or toleration as much as vengance relies on how much is put on you to push yourself into becoming a vengeful person, what a sad way to go thru life.

What good is getting even?
And there's no need to 'tolerate' people who are negative.
Ignore things like that.
Dwelling on anything that has already happened doesn't do any good.
Make every experience a learning experience.
If you are by nature a decent person, learning will make you a more knowledgeable person.

No I am not a vengeful person .Two wrongs don't make a right.Getting back at someone can become a vicious cycle. It is better to let someone act like a fool.Than to get caught being one.

I used to be but I found that God has the vengence not me. Because vengence hurts me the most because I lose myself and who I want to be when I give into all the negative hateful feelings. I promise you, I have had some deep **** happen and I was stuck in my own anger till I gave it up. In the last year I had a serious betrayal by a close family member and it could have destroyed me but letting it go and giving it to God literally save me.

No, I'm not vengeful, it's a waste of time and energy. Negativity draws negativity, not the way I want to live.

I don't know. Like most people, I've had revenge fantasies, but I've never had the chance to "get even" with someone who purposely did wrong to me or someone I care about. I guess I "tolerate," as you put it, but mostly because there's no other option. . . .
