I think you are talking about Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea. You can read (and listen to) the lyrics at this site: http://tehrig.tripod.com/media.htm , but it seems to be this one - there is even a Nasty Max on it (cf: http://tehrig.tripod.com/char.htm )!

By the way, I think you mean "We're the Pirates upon the high seas" (I have myself memorized dozens of wrong lyrics - it's the wonderful world of watching TV as a small kid :-) ).
