I am considering getting my nose pierced- i normally dress quite smart and neatly and was wondering if it can add to style of if it just gives the wrong impression completely! I also have a smallish freckle/mole just on the side of my nose! Will it look silly?

I think it completely gives the wrong impression. Sorry, but I don't think nose piercing is a smart idea! ;>

I don't think it will send the wrong impression. I have my tongue pierced and it doesn't take away from my professional appearance. No one even notices. But get a very small stud. It looks better on the nose.

I got my nose pierced. I have a round face and i look a lot younger than i am, but i find that it doesn't look tacky or anything. It's not all that noticeable if you don't know it's there, but i find that it makes my eyes sparkly more. I love it
It is not gothic at all, and if you wear a small one its not in your face at all either (if you know what i mean). You can get really small ones, and that's all i ever wear. I also like my nose piercing because it's not all that common, and i think it makes my face more interesting
At the end of the day, if you get it done and you don't like it, you can take it out. its not permanent, and it doesn't cost much.

Eeesh! Only get a small stud. I like those, but anything big and clinky is too much. Just remember that you're putting a hole in your body...and it can get infected/take a long time to close up.

Well, if you are female, you probably look nice enough without it.
Why the obsession with fashion that's permanent?
Will it look silly? Now, perhaps not, but in a few YEARS YES.
Why don't you be original, instead of copying the dumb fashion of every one else.

i think they can be cute
but only get a REALLY small one that just adds a touch of glam
dont go for a gothic punk one though or else people will think that ur weird
but if u think u like how it will look, than go for it!
also im not sure, but i think you can let them grow closed if you dont like it (because i know you can for ears)

it might make you look fake, but you shouldn't get one anyways if you want it for vanity's sake, you should have areally good reason, and remember, future employers and college recruiters and what not are gonna see that pericing and think of u in a certain way, make sure it's they way you want...GOOD LUCK, and think about anything before you do it!
