With my last pregnancies me and my husband didnt start buying stuff until just about the same time 8 months...With this pregnancy im 20 weeks and 2 days,i created a couple baby registries for family members but me and my husband wont purchase anything until 7 1/2-8 months.

Your baby boy needs:

*diapers
*infant rear facing car seat*
*diaper wipes,baby powder,baby wash,cotton balls,alcohol (for cord) baby lotion,diaper rash cream,baby oil..
*socks,baby hats..
*clothes preferably size 3-6 months to start off so baby can grow into them, mainly white baby side snap shirts, undershirts, onesies (stock up),slip on pants,sleepers...
*baby brush,fingernail clippers,thermometer,nose sucky
*stroller (if needed)
*blankets
*crib and crib bedding
*bottles (unless breastfeeding) or breastpump
*pacifier (if u are going to use one)
*baby swing (they are the best)
*diaper bag
Good Luck and congrats!!!

If I were you, I would set up a baby registry somewhere with everything you need/want on it. Let friends and family that express an interest in helping with baby stuff know about it.

Then, whenever you have some extra money and time, go and get something off of the registry.

It will be a lot easier on your pocketbook if you space out the purchasing for the baby's arrival.

When I had my first daughter, my husband and I bought one outfit, a package of diapers and some wipes every month. Once half way through, we began buying major furniture items and such slowly and began decorating the nursery. That way, if the baby came early, we were prepared.

Your last month of pregnancy is not the greatest time to be trying to set up the nursery. Many women experience the worst of their swelling right at the end. Plus, your hips are likely to hurt as they spread in anticipation of your first delivery.

You are going to be large and uncomfortabe, do you really want to be trying to decorate and arrange the nursery during that, or do you want to kick your feet up, read a good book, and relax knowing everything is ready?

Why not do the hard work of preparing the nursery in your second trimester, when you are most likely to be feeling your best?

Yeah 8 months is kinda last minute. Always keep in mind that the baby could just decide to come earlier. Well you first need the stuff you'll be bringing to hospital for you and the newborn. the rest, like the furnitures, car baby seat, a few pijs. You don't need much at first. well my advice is to start a little now. Slowly but surely.

Congrads! I am 5 months and I only have start getting things like diapers, wipes, and bottles. Things here and there. I will start getting things like clothes and stuff next week when I find out the sex. Then aound 7-8 months I will start to get the rest. GOOD LUCK and stay off your feet! Take care.

You don't need to rush into buying anything just yet. However, if you see baby wipes and nappies on special at a good price I would start picking those up now.

You will need a bassinet, cot, pram/stroller, rocker/bouncer, car seat, clothes (jumpsuits, singlets, outfits depending on when your baby is born how warm they will be and most babies go into 0000 to start with bigger babies maybe 000 [Australia]), wraps, cot & bassinet sheets, blankets, a few baby toys. That's just a start. If you are bottle feeding - bottles, formula, steriliser etc.

I would start picking up smaller things now or if you see them on special or at a good price. Maybe starting putting money away so that it isn't a huge amount at the end.

Good luck!!!

Even if you saw it was a boy, there is not 100%, I was told I was having a girl and had a boy instead. Buy only non-sexed things(ie, crib, highchair, ect..).
