I like the photo, but I prefer avatars because you are not biased (sorry I am right to use this word here) by it, is more anonimous and private and you don't know who is saying that. It's like having an alter ego in a funny way. Also I think avatars reflect your pesonality and how you like to be perceived by others, your avatar was a very optimistic, happy, nice lad.
