Diamonds are hard
but dogs are harder
Diamonds glisten
But a dog lights up you life
Diamonds are expensive
But the love of a dog is priceless
Diamonds are cold
A dog keeps your feet warm
Diamonds have to be bought
The love of a dog is free
I'd take the dog every time

I rather have a dog than a diamond. Too many people are dying in Africa over diamonds but I never hear of people dying in "dog mines". I have my birthstone in lieu of a diamond on my wedding ring.

Those are just 'sayings' and don't have any 'real meaning.' In my home, my 'best friend' is my husband (I HATE diamonds and other precious stones) and I am my husband's 'best friend' ... and that is the BEST THING OF ALL to both of us.
