Because it seems our Goverment is racist against its own people. There is actually a petition online for St. Georges day to be a bank holiday though.

St George was Palestinian, associated with religious bloodshed and football goons, and killing non-existent Dragons. What has he to do with a secular, modern, England ? St Patrick was English. I for one have no intention of celebrating in the name of religious fiction.

well maybe st George looks after all Britain, but does.nt want to make all those other saints jealous. but i agree, why don't we? a big deal is made of st Patrick's day here in Liverpool, and i enjoy, but i think we should all be a bit more patriotic

I have got better things to do than indulge in a load of sanctimonious crap about some dude slaying a non-existant creature. What is there to be proud of in that?
Howvever, I will vote herbs (Above) as I could do with a day off, too.

Do you know how silly that made you look?
WE ENGLISH, for god's sake, should celebrate OUR ENGLISH patron saint.
