The pool I practice in is about 78-79 degrees... I'd prefer it a degree or two colder for practice (definately not leisure swim!), and other non-swim team people who come in to swim say that the water is freezing! If it's an outdoor pool and warm but not HOT out, I'd say keep it right around 80-82... but it's all personal preference!

That depends on what you like and the tempeture around the pool. You would want the water to be colder then the air around the pool so when you get in the water it feels refreshing to you. Lets say the pool is indoors and the room temp. is 65 you would want the pool to be about 60 however if the pools outside and you live in florida where it can be 95 outside then if the pool temp is 80 it will still feel refreshing to you because your going from being in the sun in 95 degrees to being in the 80 water. It's really just a choice theres no right or wrong it's all about what feels good to you.

We keep the outdoor pool temperature at 80 degrees year round and the indoor pool at 84 degrees year round.
